Are you applying the speed change to the entire clip at once? That’s not advisable. Such things should be done on a per-shot basis. You may also want to consider a different speed – 75% is an odd number that will interpolate far more frames/ fields than 80%, 72% or others.

You need to install the Cycore effects from your disc separately – just like you did in AE 6.5.

Like Dave said – if you’re using Avid DV, it’s not going to get better. Only working with 1:1 compression in XPress is going to solve your issues, but then you’ll have to re-capture all footage.

Wrong forum I’d say, but anyways: No, for most “normal” cameras (video&photo) streaming does not work.

January 18, 2007 at 6:32 am in reply to: Cloth with Mograph – or – R10 Key Reducer working?[DellAnderson] “1) Still trying to come to grips with the ‘clones as a single object’ paradigm of Mograph and was trying to belt some cloth to cloned objects in Mograph (tried placing the cloth both inside and outside of the Cloner object to which the cloth was to be belted. No luck. What happened was strange attachments being formed between the multiple cloths (which appeared in the correct places) to the original ‘source’ object (still at the origin!) for the clones (even though the CloneR Object generated ClondeD Objects corresponding to the multiple cloths. Confused? In other words, the belt seems to act more like the ‘fix points’ option (which stays put) in the dresser tab of the cloth, rather than the belt tag (which moves along with the attached belted object).
I tried using the Matrix Object and the DataNode to pass various parameters to the clones(similar to C4DCafe’s description of using Mograph with emitters), but still no luck. Has anyone been able to get cloth belting to work with Mograph clones? If so how? All I’ve been able to do is get the cloth to interact, not belt.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or insights into Mograph’s inner thinking (this kind of brick wall keeps coming up for me so I’m obviously not thinking correctly about CloneD Objects and what happens to their matrix once dragged under a CloneR Object).”
Like any particle based system, Cloners work in world coordinates. Unless you explicitly convert each clone’s position to local coordinates in relation to the axis center, I doubt it’s going to work. I haven’t played with Cloth much, though, so it’s quite possible it has some option somewhere. If that fails, you need to have a hierarchy of real objects and link them to the clones using XPressso. It is the only way, I’m afraid.

AE uses bilinear filtering, which is pretty square-ish. Get yourself Instant HD or Resizer for better results (even when scaling down).

[Rob] “i’m wondering what this red ball means in the Material Editor? sometimes its full, sometimes hollow and these materials with the balls randomly turn on for some reason”
Animated properties. Check your timeline/ f-curve editor.
[Rob] “the other question i have is, when loading layers into the materials, should a copy be created at the document location? My materials keep disappearing and i’m wondering if its because i said no to this question when the window came up.”
Yes. If you did not tell C4D to look for specific paths (in the Prefs), textures must be in the directory of the scene file or a “tex” sub-directory.

Alt and Shift. Shift closes all panels, Alt supresses all error messages and resets the prefs. Or was it the other way around? Never needed to use it. I usually have a incremental project to go back to (lucky me!). ;O) Best of luck.

Should not happen. Perhaps your DVD-player is a bit touchy in those matters. Have you checked your disc on other players?

[Ivan] “I’ve never seen into DVD’s something like that before. Probably because it’s not possible to realize.”
Yepp, exactly. Anything that is not specified in the DVD (video) specs, cannot be done. Simple as that. You have to live with those limitations and make the best of it.
