I don’t know if this happens on your system, but we use Newscutter Adrenaline with an Unity Server for media file storage. When we boot up the system, we cannot start the Avid Program until the Unity Server is fully connected. If we do, we get all of our media showing up as offline. We’ll exit the application and check the Unity Connection in the task bar. Look for an “A” with a colored square for an icon. If the square is green, you can then launch the Avid program. If it’s red, you may have a problem. If it’s a spinning hourglass, wait until it’s green square. THEN, start the program… That solves the problem for us.
As I understand it, the computer isn’t talking to the Unity drive until that connection is completed. So, it thinks the media is offine.
