Does anyone know of an After Effects trainer or training courses offered in the Indianapolis Area? I’ve tried various searches including Google and the Yellow Pages and Adobe website. And, I have had no success. I don’t want to leave any stone unturned… Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places… 😀

    Thanks,

    Michael

There is a training facility here in Chicago where I have attended a few classes. Sterling Ledet is the name of the company. Expensive but good. ledet.com they have a Indy site as well. Goood luck.

I’ve used Sterling Ledet once (in Phoenix) for Premiere when I started using it. I was very happy with the training. They have training sites all over. They generally use office space or electronics store classrooms for the sessions.

    Hey MT,

I am also in Indy and use AE and Combustion extensively. I am always learning as this program is so powerful. Perhaps there is an opportunity to not only learn from each other but start a Users Group too. I have been using AE for one year now and love the program. Let me know your thoughts or email me at seth@foundryvideo.com

I just finished looking at the site and price. For the money, invest in the Total Training vids. Less money, just as much if not more information and you will always have them as a reference (as opposed to relying upon your memory of what was taught that day). My two cents…

I’ll second the Total Training DVD’s.
    Definately worth it.

Add the Meyers books and you’re rollin’.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. They are greatly appreciated! Hopefully, we’ll be able to get the training we need…

Seth, that sounds like a good idea (an Indy AE user group). But I wouldn’t be surprised if there already was one and we haven’t found it yet… LOL
