I am on an older PC 4.5 Pentium processor running windows 2000 professional, 512 MB SDRAM, obviously older Avid software 2.0. I don’t think I am able to run 1:1. Windows seems to recognize the deck but that doesn’t seem to make a difference to Avid.

    TIA,

thanks amheus, after exhausting every other possible option I could think of I still have not solved this problem. I tried to mixdown and that didn’t work, shorter firewire, longer firewire, brand new firewire, installed a new drive and then consolidated and moved the media over to the new drive. Now Avid isn’t recognizing my deck (ARRGHH). I’ve tried changing the deck setting to “Generic”, re-booted numerous times, reset output, input changes on deck nothing seems to make a difference. I have used this deck with this system for four years and Avid has recognized it. I did have to have the windows service pack 3 installed to upgrade OS in order to recognize drive but I don’t see how that would make a difference. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks In Advance,
    Marianne
