  • Hi

Adobe application creates cache files when you import assets in project . If you want to delete files you can go to following path :

    Mac :labuser/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Common/Media Cache Files
    Windows :C:/Users/../AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Common/Media cache Files

    Thanks

    Hi Dominic

As you mentioned : “There’s a problem with how the files are written with UDF and ISO in the fileset”

Can you explain this what kind of issues you are observing?
Are you verifying DVDs on some kind of file verification tools , if yes which one?
Are you getting errors while replication ?

This will help in understanding of issue .

    Thanks

  • Hi

HD DVD and Blu-ray disc media cannot carry Line 21 closed captioning due to the design of High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) specifications.

Thats why , encore does not support closed captioning for blu ray.

    Thanks

    Hi Zaral ,

If you donot have DLT device , instead of buying one , upgrade to Encore CS5 . Encore CS5 can output project to DDP images(You can also set copy protection ) which are accepted by replication facilities. This is new feature added in CS5 .

    Thanks

May 14, 2010 at 6:12 am in reply to: subtitles: wont import txt.

    Hi Chris,

Encore accepts subtitles in UTF-8 format . You can save your subtitle file in subtitle workshop as ” Save as Encore subtitles”.

This file will be imported fine in Encore .

Please respond if that solved your issue.

    Thanks

    Hi Dominic,

yes, for dual layer projects two different file set naming layer 1 and layer 2 will be created.

Some users in prerelease program of adobe have used this DDP feature and they are quite happy with it.Relication facilities have no issues with these DDP files.

    Thanks

    May 10, 2010 at 5:37 am in reply to: Encore CS4 + Windows 7

    Hi Clint ,

There are some issues on windows 7 with CS4.
    Reason :

Encore installs an older version (not compatible with Windows 7) of the Roxio pxhelp driver

    Workaround :

Install an updated version of the pxhelp driver from Roxio. The updated driver is available .
    or

Disable or disconnect any internal or external Blu-ray or DVD burners.

    Please have a look at:
    https://kb2.adobe.com/cps/516/cpsid_51665.html

I am sure it will help.

    Thanks
    Minu
