Scaling your text from 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600 to 512 x 288 will make it unreadable. Suggest you do all your work in Camtasia (640 x 480 Project setting) including the video editing and then export at 640 x 480.

Web video is quite a bit more complicated than your question begs, but for starters try Windows Media as the Format and “NTSC Source to download 512 kbps” as the Preset.

Are you placing the title over the video clip? When creating the title did you see the video as the background? Did you add a black shape object to the title?

Red indicates that the video may not preview correctly, either because you have added effects OR IN YOUR CASE, the clip’s properties do not match your Project Settings.
Green indicates you have created preview files for those clips and now should preview fine.
Why Premiere created preview files is that those clips maybe are a different resolution? By default “Scale to Frame Size” is turned on (Preferences>General), but it may be turned off for you.
All that said, you should have noticed this when previewing before export.

I thing you should try another tape…the luminance changes are typical of copy protection.

Only because you accept the default encoding setting of 2 Pass VBR.

This error has been a bogyman for Premiere for several versions and I have never seen it until last week. I rechecked my export settings and found the Frame Rate was set to 23.96, instead of 29.97. I reset and exported fine.

Are you in the “Adobe Media Encoder”? The only QT format worth using is H264 and it has all the audio options.

Virus and spyware software can cause things to slow down. Run Task Manager when things are slow. Choose the Processes tab and note how many processes are running, their memory and CPU usage.
