Premiere will continue to play until it looses “focus” which can be caused by a Power Option, Virus scanner or an app wanting to check for updates, like I tunes.
I would check Windows Event Viewer for a clue. Right click on My Computer and choose Manage. Event Viewer is first on the list. -
My first thought is Windows 7 is still in beta and not a recommended OS by Adobe for Premiere.

Video quality degrades with compression. This degradation is acceptable when going from 25 mbps (HDV or DV) to 8 mbps (mpeg2 DVD). Your workflow then recompresses the video again, but the source and output are basically the same low bitrate and the degradation is going to be much worse.

Try the 4 point garbage matte in the Effects Palette.

Download the free Gspot app and use it to determine the codec in your QT movie…you may need a codec.

In the upper right corner of the Multicam window is a wing menu…choose “Audio Follows video”

“Video Usage” is a column that can be added to the Project Window. It will list the number of times a clip is used in the Timeline.
Click the wing menu icon in the upper right corner of the Project window and choose Metadata Display. Open the first row “Premiere Project Metadata” and add Video and Audio usage. -
Quicktime player must be installed.
