    Just installed Premiere Pro CS4.
    Am trying to bring video in recorded as a .MOV. I receive the File Import Failure error ‘Codec missing or unavailable.’

    (Just in case) I recorded my video on a JVC GY-700 on a SDHC class 6 card in 1080p30.

    Quicktime player must be installed.

    I did install Quicktime Player.

    Download the free Gspot app and use it to determine the codec in your QT movie…you may need a codec.
