Try the low pass filter..start with the slider to the right and move it left until the hiss is reduced.

Add Deinterlace as a Pre Encoding task in the Transcode settings window. Check Pre Encoding Tasks in the Summary pane and even though Deinterlace is shown as “Add Filter”, click the drop down menu and select it again.

Several Quicktime codecs are not supported…h263 and h264, but most have a .mpg or .mp4 file extension. Premiere works fine on all other QT files on my machines.

4.3 GB is the space on the round shiney disc (DVD)?

Select the clip in the project window, then choose Clip on the Menu bar>Audio Options>Breakout to mono clips. You now have 3 .avi files in the bin instead of one. Add another Mono track to the timeline. The clunky part is that you will need to drag each of the 3 clips to their respective track (instead of one drag or a multiple drag where they drop kinda crazy). Lastly, lasso the 3 clips in the timeline and right click on that selection and choose “Group”.

Most likely a computer problem.
Turn off Virus scanning.
Check the Health Status of your drives…
Right click on “My Computer” and choose “Manage”, expand “Storage” in the left pane and select “Disk Managment”…look in the right pane for “Status”. -
Right click on “My Computer” and choose “Manage”. In the left console pane, expand “Storage” and select “Disk Management”. Right click on your drive in the right pane and choose “Change Drive Letter…”

Sampling options are the 3 buttons between Mode and Limits.

Realtime playback on the timeline can suffer when the properties of your source footage does not match your project settings. Do you have a proprietary capture card (Canopus/Decklink/Matrox)?

Put a blank DVD in your internal burner, then File>Export to DVD,click on Encoding in the left pane and choose the “NTSC DV 4 x 3 High Quality 7mb CBR 1 pass” preset.
