There is a 1.51 patch available for a lot of bugs.
I teach Premiere Pro and it (1.5/2.0) wont work well in a Novell networked enviornment. Putting files on a network server is a no no. I finnaly had to get removable drives with no network software to teach from. -
Elements 3 is very light on its feet, especially with compressed ource video. It installes with over 2 GB in the Program folder…tons of styles and templates.
One cool feature…the timeline scrolls during playback, not the CTI. Cool interface matches Photoshop Elements 5. -
I have seen worse problems associated with removing burning apps, so leave things alone. I would avoid letting Nero author your DVD as it may be recompressing your Mpeg 2 files. Do your authoring, menus, etc in Premiere or Encore, export the VIDEO_TS from them and let Sonic or Nero do the burning. Nero using one of their “Backup” options to burn a VIDEO_TS folder.

I have seen PCs that Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements could not burn a DVD. I suspect third party DVD burning apps like Sonic have corrupted Windows and caused this. Choose the Burn to Folder option in the Burn DVD window and then use your DVD burning app to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to disc.

I dont think Cineform 3.X will work with Premiere 2.0…you need to upgrade to 4.x. Also copy/paste plug-ins does not always work..they must be installed.

The copy/paste between projects thingy does not work with Elements 3 either.

Any virus scanner running in the background? When playback stops, bring up Task Manager and see if any process is hogging the CPU cycles.

The only markers Pro can export from the timeline into a Windows Media Video file is a URL flip that will launch the default browser to a web page.

Insert the sound into the first slide. Right click on the speaker icon in the first slide and choose “Custom Animation”. In the Custom Animation task pane, right click on the music file and choose “Effect Options”. The Play Sound window opens to the Effect tab and select Stop Playing>After 15 (or however many slides you need) slides.
