Pull a key! Didn’t even think of that. (Duh.) Thank you very much. can you guide me on what I should ask for from the animator or check that he exported it correctly? First time with this workflow…

This need not look photo-real at all. I just want to give the impression that the text is interacting with the swimmer.

I can’t remember specifically, but one thing was a tint effect to some graphics. Nothing super render intensive. When I twirl down the current render details the things that take the most time are “retrieving frames” I do have some large graphics and that is why the original renders were taking 10-12 hours. Like I said, that was expected, but not 30 hours.

    Hi Les,
I’m glad you liked the article. For the theater in Wyoming we used a Dave Jones Synchronizer to get the DVD’s to play at the same time. We don’t really do much DVD’s anymore, however. Nowadays we use Alcorn-McBride BinLoop players to play Mpeg-2 files off of flashcards or a centralized server depending on the type of file (SD or Hd, etc.) The lighting cues are written as an Excel spreadsheet. The Creative Director usesthe timecode of the film to decide which lights will be active and for how long. A programmer takes that document and uses Cue Server to trigger each light, its fade ups and downs, as well as its intensity. Does that make sense?

These are reference avi’s and QT’s from Avid Nitris/DS. They see the media that the DS sees using the DS codec. I’ve never had a problem with AE seeing them before I upgraded.
