entire screen blowing away

November 10, 2008 at 9:23 pmI’ve seen many tutorials about getting titles/logos to blow away like sand, but I need to get an entire video frame to blow away organically to reveal the frame underneath. I’ve been experimenting with various things, but nothing is looking good enough for me. has anyone done such a thing and can lead me in a good direction?

November 10, 2008 at 9:31 pmIt’s pretty much the same technique, just make the area emitter cover the entire frame. I suggest cranking the “number” property as low as possible before increasing the width and height though. Then move the “number” up in small increments until you get a balance between coverage and performance. You may need to increase the size of the particles too.
Then animate a force object across the particles to “blow” them away.
If you want the frame to disintegrate from one edge, not all at one time, then use a more narrow area emitter, and have it move across the stage.
Hope that’s enough detail to get you started.
Alan.
