After looking at your logo, it seemed like it needed to be actual 3d. I did a quick model in 3d Max with global illumination and reflections and true 3d motion blur and composited in After Effects. What do you think. There is a higher rez pic to show the detail of the 3d model. If we work something out, I will render it out in high rez – whatever you need and output flicker free GI.

We might be able to work something out. Can you post a pic of your logo so I can see what you are talking about?

Can you be a little more specific as to what you are looking for?

My initial reaction is reshoot it with a plain tshirt. Any thing else will take 10 times as long and wont look as good. I am assuming you are trying to remove the print and make it look like a plain tshirt, kinda like using the patch tool in photoshop. If you simply want to make it unreadable, you can motion track the shirt and apply a small blur layer to the print.

    Simple,

Use the pan behind tool to move your anchor point to the bottom of the building. You can also do this under the anchor point position control under the layer rollout.

I dont know if you can merge paths directly in After Effects. If you really need to do this, I would cut and paste both paths onto the same solid layer and use the add property under the masks. If you need the mask to be one, continuous path, say to animate along, simply precomp the solid layer with both masks on it and then autotrace the precomp to give you one new mask.

If the screen is going to be transparent, and it is going on top of anything you would see underneath, DONT use a solid material to make a practical prop, or else you will just key it out and have a hole in your footage you will have to replace with live action – a HUGE pain. Now, if it is going to be opaque, you can use any material you want since you will not see it in the finished shot anyway. I was under the impression you wanted a transparent/holographic look where it would be electronic buttons floating on a sheet of plastic or the like.

That happens when it is the correct answer. Now if we had 3 different, mutually exclusive ideas…

Let me make sure I understand you. You basically want to take a real video of an airplane, cut it out, color it one solid color, and color everything else another solid color – kind of like clipart.

The ease of this depends on the difference between the colors or luminance of the airplane vs. its surroundings. You will want to key out either the plane or the background. Then, simply create a new solid the color you want and place the keyed footage on top. Use a fill from “effects/generate/fill” on the keyed layer and you have it licked. Easy in concept – may be trickier depending on how well the keying goes.

The other option is rotoscoping, where you will need to manually cut out each frame with masks instead of keying – if there is not enough seperation between the luminance or colors.

    Best of luck
