Turn off Quantize to Frames (it’s either on the tool bar or the first option under Options) and you’ll be able to slip it MUCH finer than one frame.
Please remember to turn it back on afterwards for normal editing. -
As I recall, there’s an “Update scopes while playing” option.
Make sure it’s selected. -
What kind of music did he like as a teenager?

I did a montage a few years ago for my brother’s 50th. It started off with newspaper headlines from the day he was born as well as the current top song, movie, and other assorted trivia. This was courtesy of dMarie Time Capsule.
As this was showing, “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood and the Destroyers was playing. When they got to the end of the first verse (“…that I was bad to the bone”), I popped up a picture of him that in which I had created eyes so red he looked like a devil. Everyone watching it howled with laughter. That’s when I knew I had them hooked 🙂 -

Since we don’t have accurate sales numbers, we have no way of knowing who has sold the most editing software.
Note that I didn’t mention actual users but rather total sales as the two can be misleading.Since you use it and you’re happy with it (and, I assume, making some money with it) that should be enough.

I’ve been buying external Seagate drives (love their warranty!!) when they’re on sale as well as an external case (USB & firewire).
They work great 🙂 -

Bobby1135 , see if this technique works for you.
Create slide #1 and drop it on the timeline.
Copy/paste it in position next to slide #1, doing a slight overlap of 1 sec. or so.
Delete client 1’s name and add client 6 to the bottom.
Stick with the basic dissolve or select one of the Linear Wipe transitions (either top down or bottom up). -
With the exception of Magic Bullet, a newer/better/faster video card won’t make any difference with Vegas.
As long as your current video card meets your needs, there’s really no reason to upgrade. -

You do have the deck hooked directly to the computer with a firewire cable, right?
If you’re trying this through your Canopus, it won’t work.

Make sure the deck input is set on ilink and the remote light is on and the ilink remote button is on (not the 9 pin).
