vegas deck control
How do i get deck control with my sony vegas 7d. I have a dsr-1800 with a canopus advc700 as my dv converter. I have video and audio but no deck control. Please help.

You do have the deck hooked directly to the computer with a firewire cable, right?
If you’re trying this through your Canopus, it won’t work.
Here’s a suggestion on this deck from another Vegas forum:
Make sure the deck input is set on ilink and the remote light is on and the ilink remote button is on (not the 9 pin). -
Actually this particular deck was purchased without a firewire card. so using ilink is out of the question. The canopus was purchased to transfer the serial rs-422 cable to fire wire. It currently does this with Adobe premier, final cut and avid. But it doesn’t with Vegas.
Just curious whats different that it won’t transfer it.
