Move your VSTs into a completely different folder so that Sony does not see them during installation.
If you can now install Pro 13, copy them back a few at a time into your Sony VST folder until you find the problem one(s) and leave them in the new folder. -
Ellen, with the Pan/Crop window open, right click on the image and choose Match Output Aspect.
That should hopefully solve your problems. -
Grzegorz, I guess we have a difference of opinion then as I consider what I described as a working session. No different than a multi-track session with a band.

I periodically deal with an audio engineer who uses the latest version of Sonar from Cubase.
My last job for him was a 2.5 hr. wrestling match with 10 audio tracks (some mono and some stereo).
I used Trackalizer from VASST (it’s free) to export the individual audio tracks and gave him a low res mp4 file for a video reference.
He had no problems importing the files into Sonar, processing them and sending them back to me.
The page mentions that it’s good for up to Pro 9 but I used Pro 12 and did not have any problems.

The 70d is a newer camera so odds are that you need a much newer version of Vegas to be able to effectively deal with the files from that camera.
The good thing is that, as a registered user, you can get Pro 13 Edit for the introductory price of $125 U.S.

What version of QuickTime player are you suing?
What version of Pro 9 are you using?
9.0d had a fix for this. From the Readme file:
Corrected a problem that could cause black frames in MOV files after installing the QuickTime 7.6.6 update. -

Very strange. I do this a lot and never hear any audio. Was it a stereo track or dual mono (i.e. two two distinct channels on a single stereo track?)

That’s a possibility. Once again, what was on the track?
” The current audio track is labeled as Microsoft Sound mapper.”
You choose your sound card in Vegas Preferences.
Options – Preferences – Audio Device.
Mine changes back to Microsoft sound mapper all on its own so I have to keep changing it back to what it’s supposed to be. -
The shortcut key for a volume envelope is the letter v while the shortcut key for an audio master bus is the letter b.
They’re right next to each other so it’s an easy mistake.
Press b again and the audio master bus will go away.
