With Pro 11, you have to use MainConcept as Sony changed things between 10 and 11.
I use the default Internet 720p preset for YouTube uploads but that’s for shows that are less than 10 min. long.
My recommendation is to experiment with the various Internet presets and see which one suits your needs. -
eddy, just to clarify, no recompression only works if your source and destination files are identical.
i.e. it won’t work by going from an unrelated format to one on the list. -
The list of formats that won’t recompress is fairly limited.
I posted a screenshot from the manual in the recent no recompression required thread. -
If you know any FCP users, get them to render it out for you in MOV format.

Steve, as much as I’d like to take credit for that “discovery”, it was another poster on a Vegas forum who tipped me off to the fact that certain Vegas FX are not always WYSIWYG 🙁

Thanks Pat. Over the years I’ve learned that the Preview window setting has a big effect on how certain FX will show up and nothing on others.

ProRes files are compatible with Vegas. I have the free version of QuickTime installed on my machine and it plays them with no problems at all.
Make sure you use an older version (I have 7.6.8) as several users have had problems with the latest one.
You need to open the file with the QuickTime player.
Then go Window > Movie Inspector and let us know what it says.
