Mike, this is the option I used. It tells me it should open on any computer XP or later. I just don’t understand why it won’t open for him. It is not a mastered disc.

I’m OK with it, Steve, as long as I remember to throw up the walls. I’m just curious to why these things can’t play together all the time. For the most part I have nowhere near the problems that a lot of people have reported. Then again I don’t have all the tools (ability) to really get under the hood to see what this thing can do.

GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit. It is in the video tab in the preferences window. You will see a dropdown box where you can click it off

He still has the HI8 camcorder and I have a Canopus AVDC 110 w/firewire that I used for transferring some super VHS awhile back. That didn’t come out too awful bad. I’ll have to look and see what he has. My only concern is for the way the tapes may have been stored and if they are extended play. He said there are a lot of glitches when played back. If I remember drop outs were common.

This program was announced months ago as if it were in the bag and being readied for release. Now we are asked to tell you what we want in it for how many months down the road? Really? The whole package is attractive. It is why we bought the software in the first place.

LOL! Steve, to be honest I can give two hoots about my player playing a continuous loop. I am waiting for the client to get back to me with what he has to play his discs at his shows. I pray to the almighty he doesn’t answer with Samsung anywhere in the message……At some point I’ll figure out my player. ;^)

Thanks Mike. there is nothing about looping in the manual. There is a repeat function, but that didn’t do anything either. Even with the chapter repeat it sits there. One thing I noticed at the end of the disc is that the play arrow is on with the time display. I’d think that it should show the stop square if it is not going to loop???

I did manage to find a recent update that I downloaded into it, but that didn’t change anything either. The download description said it was an enhancement. Anyway, I’ll go into the AVS forum and see what I can find in there. My player is not listed, but there might be an answer somewhere.
