I did the photo edit with all the transitions and effects with Sonic Foundry Vegas 3 awhile ago. It was finished looks good. I had video clips from the same camera that I wanted at the end so I used a newly acquired Vegas 9 pro program. The photo clip is not jerky. It is the video clips that I added. Not very seemless at all.

There are a ton of photos. What would be the best way to re-size them?

The settings are NTSC DV 720×480 29.97 fps
    09091 pix asp ratio
    8 bit
    good
    Gaussian blur
    no deinterlace.

The media for the slides are jpegs with the video being .mpg files.
The jpegs were rendered as an .avi with Vegas 3. I think I see a problem…?

I am putting the clips to DVD

My bad. The way I read the offer it had me thinking the support plan was extra. When I went to the cart it was free….Thumbs up, I guess!

I am real close to taking up their offer. The only question I have is about the platinum support plan for $150….Is this a plus to have?

    >Looks like you have a Pinnacle DC10 card doing hardware decompression is that right?<

There was a Pinnacle program I uninstalled from this machine. Whether there is a card I don’t know…Something Pinnacle, for sure.

    >You will need to install a 3rd party MJPEG codec to work with these files in Vegas.<

I went and downloaded the MJPEG codec that is required and am pleased to inform you that the AVI clips are now in the video timeline.

    Thank you so very much…Mike

I downloaded the GSpot. The program didn’t list Vista so I was hesitant to use it. This is what the boxes show:

    Video Codec
4CC mpg 2 compatible codecs installed

    AVI Draw
    MJPEG compresser

When the clip was rendered i got this on the Video path:

    S) –> AVI Splitter –> Pinnacle DCxx MJPEG Decompressor –> Color Space Converter –> (R)

The GSpot does not support 64bit Vista…I installed a video converter between a couple of projects for internet .flv to knock down the MB’s. Maybe i lost something in the process.
