Yes making a custom art brush is the way to go for tapering strokes.

You can increase the miter limit on a stroke, but you do not have much control over how far your item will taper, and it does not work on endpoints only on sharp peaks.

Is the person opening your files on the PC??? If so you want to make sure the .jpg is at the end of the file name on the mac.

If you are using stuffit, there is a problem with .sitx files that corrupts them, so we use .sit instead.

December 2, 2008 at 1:15 am in reply to: Resize Curves dialog box in CS3 Extended PS?

You can Alt(PC) Option(Mac) click on the curves graph to divide it in 1/10ths rather than 1/4s. You can zoom into anythign on your screen using the hot key for zooming which is in the universal acess control panel (Mac) and I believe the PC has a control panel for handicapped people that will zoom.

  • This is very easily done in Adobe Illustrator.

Select your type and path (make sure your path is above your type in the layer stacking order)

Object >> envelope Distort >> make with top object

You woudl have to write an action that reset the pixel aspect ratio to square, and then insert menu item >> open as the second step of your action. You can export this action as a droplet, if you like to drag and drop to open your files.

Reset your Photoshop preferences, they may have gotten corrupted.

If that does not work search your hard drive for .lst files and delete all of them. The files are related to your fonts, and occasionally one of them get corrupted.

First I’ll refer you to an old tutorial.
    https://mikegondek.com/creativetech/photoshop/14/psp14.htm

Then load your mask a selection (CTRL click on the mask layer) and from the paths palette use make work path. You can then copy and paste this path into Illustrator.

Only way I can think of to do thsi numerically, is to make new guide, and input your numeric values, then distort the phothsop image, pulling each of the 4 corners to where the guiides intersect.

You will need to use View >> new guide (enter the numeric value)
then Ctrl T to transform, and Ctrl drag each of the 4 corners.
