As usual I “almost” have a solution for you, just need a little help from Dan Ebberts or another expression whiz.

Go to Dan Ebbert’s tut, “Building the World’s Greatest Cameraman”. (Click on Dan’s head above and scroll down). Download the project file.
This generates particles(layers of your choice) in 3D space.

Go to the “snow” comp. Delete all the snow layers except for a few.

Put your Bald Head layer at 320, 480, 0, and change the “X rotation” to 90 degrees.

I moved the camera (with the orbit camera tool and the other camera tools) to 300, -400, 0, to get a view from above the bald head layer and have the snow flakes-logos from above.

Then just swap out the snowflakes layer with your logo layer by Alt-dragging the logo onto the snowflake in the timeline window.

Dup the logo layer as many times as you need.

The only problem is, the snowflakes-logos fall through the baldhead layer.

Maybe Dan will come on and tell you how to put a floor at the level on the bald head layer.

    Try this:

Get to the frame where the keyframe is. With the Selection Toll (V) double click on any of the verticies (like nodes) of the mask. You get a little Tansform box around the Mask like in Photoshop, you can rotate, skew, lengthen-shorten. You can also move it up with the arrow key. I don’t know if they only move it one pixel at a time, but it’s not much.

You could just copy paste the keyframes for the section you wanted to loop, or you could use a loop expression.

Try splitting the layer where you want it to loop, then adding a loop expression.
YOu could then preComp those two layers if you need to make sure they stay together.

Try making an expression that ties your 2D layer to the camera’s Point Of Interest by Alt clicking the 2D layers position, then pickwhipping that to the Camera’s POI.

For an elegant use of this see Dan Ebberts,
    “Building the World’s Greatest Cameraman
using After Effects 5.5’s Expression Controls”.
He puts a Fractal Noise layer (2D for clouds) in front of a moving camera. It’s at the bottom of the tut.

Different Codecs give different results. QT is hard to beat.

For Flash MX 2004, try Sorenson Squeeze, the pro codec is much better than Spark. The new Flash 8 (demo version available) has the new VP6 codec, a big improvement over either Sorenson Codecs. Check it out. Lee Brimelow over at the Cow Flash forum is a Flash video guru, ask questions there, lots of FLV tuts too.
