Yes, analog FM & TV(audio) broadcasts are limited to 50hz – 15,000hz. You are correct about the 19,000hz pilot tone. This indicates to a stereo receiver that the station is in stereo. The audio you are seeing above 19k is the L-R stereo information.
The main audio 50-15k is in fact MONO. It is both the left and right channel. This makes all stations backward compatable to mono recievers. The “stero generator” also creates a left channel minus the right channel audio stream that is injected at a high frequency.
You radio uses both of these to recreate the orignal stereo information.

I was able to find that 10.4 won’t do what I want. I did find a 3rd party app that did.

I found a way to fix the problem. It was hidden. I got this info from macrumors.com
Using FileBuddy from macupdate.com
1. Enable administrator privileges
2. File -> Get Info -> Choose -> Macintosh HD (default selection)
3. Uncheck the box on the left which should be ticked as invisible
4. Do a finder search for a file named “com.apple.sidebarlists.plist” (you will need to activate the search to include hidden system files, delete this file)
5. Reboot your computer.I did NOT need to do step 4.

That is checked. Here’s some more strange stuff. The second hard drive shows up fine.

If it’s for DVD it needs to Mpeg2 for the video and Dolby Digital for the audio. You can also get away with PCM audio and a lot of times mpeg audio. If you’re talking about what setting to work with when editing Microsoft DV is the easiest.

When you convert it asks what percentage of each track you want. Make sure it’s no less than 50%.
I guess it’s also possible that your out of phase. That could cause your problem and explain why it follows you to another computer.
Even looking at your pictures it looks like phase could be your issue. On the left track the spike goes up and the right track it goes down.
Check the phase analysis.

Haven’t used CoolEdit in a while but I seem to remember having the same problem. I always wound up opening the mp3 in Winamp and adding the tag info there.

Well, I don’t have any experience with Windows on Mac. You might be better using boot camp and boot into Windows to give it the full system resources.

Not 100% sure but I know there are sometimes issues with files over 2 gigs. If your using all NTFS then it’s less of an issue. Try just coping the files and not doing anything via Premiere.
