  • You could use HDLink to get 6 discrete audio channels out of the SDI-stream. From decklink you only get 2 ch analog audio out.
I think this is quite cost effective way to get surround sound out.

  • Try setting the output setting to 720 x 576 50 Hz Interlaced.
This should match your system settings in ATEM TVS.

  • Have you set your laptop’s resolution to match ATEM TVS signal type. ATEM doesn’t have any built in scalers.
I’ve successfully mixed computers an SDI sources, but all resolutions must be the same.

Converting the image files to 24 fps is easy, but you also need to slow down the audio and fix the pitch so it stays the same.

I tested copying a project to another computer. I placed the project folder in the “Final Cut Projects”-folder. After that when I opened the project on the new computer, FCPX showed the media as offline. I had to make a new event and re-import all the used footage to get the project assets online. I have to test if I could copy events from one computer to the other…

When the assets are offline there is no way to tell what was the original file path…

I renamed the new version of Final Cut. To do open the info screen of the application in Finder (CMD+I). Press the lock icon to make changes, then add everyone read/write access. After that you can change the name of the application.

    Yes you can.

The new Final Cut Pro X moves the old version of Final Cut to a new folder named Final Cut Studio.
