Hi Michael I have tried Handbrake and i could not get it to work on most of my B/ray disc’s. It would read the video that I had as picture slide shows but not the main video of the project.
I tried all different settings in it but still had the same result, if you search on line a lot of peeps have the same problem. I even tried it on three different computers.

Hi John since posting this I have downloaded lots of free and paid trail software including handbrake, most of the free stuff did not work, they would read the chapters with photos in but not the video.

I then installed the trail version of Xilisoft Blu-Ray Ripper SE and this just worked from the off. But this then gave me another problem, that it encodes all the chapters as single video files.
So I ended up trying the built in Windows 10 joiner in the Photo app but was not impressed that it tried to take over your video.

So I then tried Wonder-share Filmora and this works great to join the video, so happy days.

Hi Danny and so does mine, all the top menu items change size ok,its the icons directly under the top menu that dont seem to change when I alter the sizes.

Anyway some good news is, I have fixed the render problem with my Newblue effects, I uninstalled Vegas and all the effects and did a complete reinstall of them and now it renders all the effects without problems. It must have been a corrupt install on something.

Hi Bill yes I have done that, but it does not effect the tool bar icons under the menu bar, they are still very small, but thats a minor problem.
I have tried all different digital files pictures from my Nikon D750 camera that are jpegs, and settings to render a project with my Newblue 3d effects like explosions and bouncing boxes, it seems the more complex the effect like a jigsaw puzzle breakup seems to be worse.

All these effects worked perfect on my old Dell laptop.
All the sony effects work no problem when I use them in a render.

Well guys I have pdated my three systems a Dell i7 17″ laptop, that had Win 7 on it, this upgraded with no problems.

My other editing system is a PC desktop Asus m/b i5 cpu and 16gb ram,Nvidia graphics, it also has a SSD boot drive and three other drives, 4 Tb, 2 Tb and 750gb, this also upgraded with an issue.

Just done my normal day to day desktop and that also went without a hitch, but both my desktops are 8 months old, and my laptop is about 18 months old so maybe that helped.

I was running two ols pc’s for about 6 years for my editing but they got so slow and troublesome that I ended up biting the bullet and bought the two new systems and boy what a difference, especially the render times…

I mainly do family and my own stuff now as I am semi retired, but started using vegas for my weddings when vegas 4 was out..

I still have my first editing system I bought, its called Direct Ed, it cost about £800.00 about 20 years ago, it is a simple remote controlled device, that controlled two vcr’s and you had to load the program and graphics from a master tape to change any graphics, I thought is was magic until I tried Vegas, once I had I was hooked and never looked back..
Was thinking about giving it to a Photographic museum ..

Ok thanks guys , I have now sorted my other problem out. I will go ahead with the upgrade later, I have two pc’s telling me that my reserved copy of Windows 10 is ready for updating..

I have an old Epson printer attached to one of them and as far as I can see there are no drivers for it for Windows 8 or Windows 10, so I think my grand kids are going to get another cast off and I will get a new one…

Ok guys thanks for the replies, I have an update , I tried to use DVD Architect and this locked up after a while as well, so I thought thats strange, so did some testing, I swapped out some memory for some other on my other system and it works fine now, so must have just been bad luck that when I upgraded my memory it decided to fail…

So up to know my Vegas upgrade is working fine…

    Hi John

Thanks for the information, but I am still not sure what to set my project at in DVDA , do I use a DVD template for the BR disc, or do I use the BR setting for the my BR disc. I ask because I am not sure the DVD setting will let me go past the DVD gig limit for the DVD.
