I just purchased it because a friend recommended it but am running into some wonky issues and can’t get support. The first batch of movs worked well – the second I’m not able to open.
I’ve restarted the system and have started over…
not sure how it’s going to go but I thought I’d ask in case you have any working knowledge…
Thanks

Charlie – thank you so much! Another user sent it to me this morning. I was able to bring in the AAF but it only recognized one track of audio and none of the others….we gave up for now…
I kind of knew it would be a challenging procedure…c’est la vie
Thanks again.

August 8, 2015 at 7:27 am in reply to: AAF exporting and importing using Automatic Duck (or anything that will work)Ok – so the AAF won’t go back into FCP properly?
In a perfect world, my music editor would just complete his work, and give the pro tools session to my mixer. BUT my director needs to see the music edit, in it’s current state with picture in FCP so he can make his changes.
Is that possible at all? If my music editor exports the music track as an aiff, will that work? or will I get one long track of music?
thanks!

August 8, 2015 at 6:52 am in reply to: AAF exporting and importing using Automatic Duck (or anything that will work)Hi JImmy,
I just read your post from last year and am hoping you can provide some guidance. I am not an experienced AE and I need to import an AAF into FCP7 tomorrow morning – yay for me!We exported using Automatic Duck – it was brought into a ProTools session and then exported out to an AAF.
Do I need another tool from Automatic Duck to make this work?
I SINCERELY appreciate any help…or a step by step instruction. I’m looking online for tutorials and haven’t found anything…thanks!
Shane,
If you get this and can advise as well…that would be much appreciated too. Thanks!

There was a link to the prior version of AD somewhere in this forum.
It’s how I got it but I can’t find it to send to you.
If you look back a week or so ago at some of my threads someone was kind enough to share it. -

June 28, 2015 at 10:46 pm in reply to: Exporting AAF from FCP7 using Automatic Duck – QUICK QUESTIONHi Ryan
Thank you. I duplicated the sequence, disabled the clips then exported the AAF.
Do you know if the export still exports those clips even though they’re disabled?
Do you recommend going back in and deleting the disabled clips?
Thanks!! -

Do you happen to know if I export an AAF using automatic duck will it ignore my disabled clips?
The export seems to be going with no problems, I just want to be sure that the disabled clips are not being included in the AAF.
Thanks
