I want to thank you all so much for your responses! I ultimately ended up downloading Automatic Duck – worked like a charm 🙂
I am so grateful for your help!

Thanks Shane
Is there any other way? Like is there a simple way to do it in the original timeline?
Seems like a standard thing you should be able to do in an editing program-
Thoughts?
Thanks
Michelle
Yes but there’s a 2 gig file size limit.
There’s no way we can make this work with that limitation
This is SO PROBLEMATIC! If anyone is an expert level at doing this and is willing to get on a call I would be SO grateful.
I found that removing disabled audio clips took care of the first error message.
Now I’m getting a new error that FCP cannot create the XML file.
I’m about to trash preferences. Reboot. And start again.
I welcome any ideas. Help. Coffee. Ha ha.
Daryl – thanks for the link to Automatic Duck – however it seems that it is only for FCPX – any idea where to get the download for FCP7? THANK YOU SO MUCH!! – Michelle

in reply to: What to save ?
I’m currently moving all of my media files to another drive – here’s the question – If I’ve done multiple FCP files for this and other projects pertaining to the same media AND I have all of the media files stored (the m2t files and the same files converted into mov’s) Do I need to transfer over the tons of gigs of Capture Scratch folders and render folders? What exactly is saved in the capture scratch folder anyway?
