… The HDTV preset in AE is not equivalent to the AppleProRes422 format. This is potentially the issue. The recommended options were to convert the AE footage to the matching format OR drop the completed video into AE for final compositing.

I’d like not to do this finishing step. Is there a way to just output from FCP and get sharp graphics? I already have the ProRes codec viewer installed. I can view his mp4 output for client review. I’m using AE CS3 on a G5 2005 Powermac(not Intel architecture, if that matters), OS 10.5.8. I don’t see any ProRes options in my AE Output Module > Quicktime > Format Options. I’ve been output the Quicktime Animation codec so far.
