I am using Adobe After Effects 7 Pro on the Mac (Tiger 10.4.7) and I cannot for the life of me get my custom Workspaces to save the position and/or number of comp windows that I have open, like After Effects 6.5 Pro seemed to do with no problem.

I open another Comp window, and doc it say, to the right side of the Project Window, and the resize the two comp windows so that they are same size, etc. But when I save the workspace, and then attempt to reload it, there is only one comp window that is the SIZE of what used to be two comp windows.

I absolutely must have more than one comp open for my 3D work (top view, left view, camera view, etc.) and will need to switch back and forth between this workspace setup and others…

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Make sure you lock your comp viewers. AE should store this with no problems.

    I did… well, I think I did… I am pretty sure I did… I will try it again, just in case I am losing my mind…

Yeah, if it doesn’t work, file a bug report with Adobe because by all intents and purposes it should…

Got it to work. I guess I was just being stupid. Or just really used to working with the 6.5 Pro version. I am still getting used to version 7’s new interface…

    Thanks!

I have CS3 and am not able to save a workspace with multiple comp windows even if I lock them. Will this work in CS3?
