Flash (SWF file) audio does not import into CS3
Posted by Michael Urbansky on March 23, 2011 at 11:58 pmAudio from a swf video file (Flash file) does not import into CS3. Video comes in fine. How do I fix this? Using a PowerPC Mac not an Intel Mac. OS 10.5.8
Thanks!

“SWF (continuously rasterized)
Note: SWF files are imported with an alpha channel. Audio is not retained. Interactive content and scripted animation are not retained. Animation defined by keyframes in the main, top-level movie is retained.”———————————————————————————————————

March 24, 2011 at 3:06 amThank you for confirming that audio is not retained.
Workflow question:
So if I want to edit a mov with audio with a swf with audio together in the timeline (one cut only, no fades, nothing fancy) do I extract the audio from the source swf, convert that audio to something AE CS3 can import and sync it up in the timeline? -

March 24, 2011 at 5:27 pmJust occurred to me that the short audio could be a good indicator of the length and pacing the Flash animator expected. So I should time remap to video, get client approval and move on. : )
