We’ll see if Apple announces anything at their event today.

You might need to install some of the newer releases of AE. You can install the CC 2015 release and the CC 2015.3 release alongside your current CC 2014 release. I think they added some UI adjustment in the more recent versions.

[chris brett] “I think Andrew Kramer and his team have been a great service to the industry not only in terms of tutorials and software by also very much in terms of attitude and inspiration”

Agreed. I plan to thank them for this new – free – tool by purchasing something else from them that I don’t already own. It’s definitely worth something! Not to mention the years of useful education.

Agreed. I used Saber the day it came out for a client project. It saved me a huge amount of time.

This one is a whole different league though. It doesn’t make anything at all, it just saves massive amounts of time.

  • Not that I know of.
There is a very handy tool out there that would enable you to make the interpolation you want with very little work though. Check out Flow on AE scripts. Really handy tool to have.

  • How many of these animated shape layer elements do you plan to have? (I can’t see your example image because Dropbox is blocked at work – if you upload directly to the COW, I could see it.)
You can do animated layers in Element.

[Greg C Neumayer] “I’m getting the same 5027::12 error in AE trying to see a C4D file with Cineware”

You might want to make a new thread so people can see your post a bit better. Having an issue with Cineware vs. PNG importing stuff will trigger very different people. You also might consider making a new post on the Adobe forums as well.

  • You are going to need a much larger resolution image than 1080p for what you want. Honestly, even just a still picture from an iPhone is going to be better than that.

If you have Jetstrike, you have a pack of higher resolution photos that you can use.

  • Cut a hole in the floor/table/surface and put another surface below it. That way, if, say, a bunch of grapes were falling, they would go through the table, but the top part would still be reacting as if the bottom has hit.

Or you could kind of fake a reflective surface in AE (using something like VC Reflect or building it yourself).
