How do you deal with all the different color settings all the TVs have? Just let this go, you cannot override player settings for audio any more then you can override color settings on a TV.

As stated in a ton of post, footage from Conan DSLR cameras is H.264 and MUST be converted before editing in FCP. Then you will have real time playback and editing.

  • there are so many weird things in that post, “Rosetta” that isn’t doable on SL either.

Most likely the solution is to wipe the HD and reinstall everything from scratch.

I would ask the bands sound guy to record the concert to a CD. Make sure you give the guy a little cash for his trouble.

Yeah, shooting on P2 cards also gives you one less thing to worry about power. But you will have to have power for your laptop to off load that many GB from cards. (2) 64GB E-series cards should be under 2K and you can rent them for about $200/wk. Those and a handful of camera batteries gets you through the day with the least amount of gear, least amount of power.

You are going to have an issue with battery on anything you use. If you are shooting all day you need AC power to a bunch of batteries but most things will need to be powered down for a battery swap.

Also 24pN will not work with FireWire out. You have to shoot 24p (over 60). A FireStore can remove the pulldown while it records to give you the longer record times.

How long do you need to record? Under want power conditions? Will you be able to stop the record? all this info is need to give you educated advice.

  • If you cannot have the HD/RAID named the same still make sure you have the file structure the same, you will have to reconnect with each pass but it is not that bad since it links all the fills in the same location. This is kind of the next best thing.

HD and folders-files with exact match it is seamless.

IS this the sequence settings from the graphic timeline or the timeline with the video?
Have you rendered before judging quality?
What are you viewing the video on to judge quality?
What do you mean by jittery? Field order problem?

    What are the graphic specs?
