I have a looping overlay graphic, “watermark” so to speak, it looks great on it’s own timeline in FCP and displays flawlessly as it did in After Effects where it was created.

However, when I put it over other video, it plays looking jumpy, as if it were interlaced. Any thoughts on that?

There is my settings for the sequence. Any thoughts why this text overlay or watermark is displaying jittery?

    Thanks much.

IS this the sequence settings from the graphic timeline or the timeline with the video?
Have you rendered before judging quality?
What are you viewing the video on to judge quality?
What do you mean by jittery? Field order problem?

    What are the graphic specs?

Ya, thin lines, small detail can be a prob. But, u need to view on Ext. monitor to know for sure.

Can u try a slight blur? Decrease opacity?

Going through point by point, I composed the following, which is not now necessary.

Problem Solved Michael with a rendering of the file out in export. Once it is rendered out it is not jittery as it displays in the Canvas in FCP. This is not intended for Television, otherwise I would have an issue with the small text with older Televisions with interlacing. Perhaps this will be part of a DVD put to HD for television, but no plans with that now.

The sample render can be seen here if you have interest, playing as it should, but was not playing good in FCP

Thanks for that response from both of you. I guess I jumped the gun with the post before exporting a file to see how it looked first.
