Does SpeedScriber have the workflow integration that Transcriptive does? That’s my main interest.

Great thread! I have had good luck with all the strategies mentioned above. Edit Ready is a godsend.
Thanks all!

June 26, 2017 at 5:44 pm in reply to: Why Not Default Export Source Range to “Entire Sequence?” Why must snapping be enabled in general prefs?Hey Reid, I have the same issue with the Source Range default. With later versions of AME, the setting is not even visible when you’re looking at your queue; it’s only findable when you click on the individual preset setting of each item in the queue.
Normally Adobe’s settings make sense to me but here I really don’t understand why “Entire Sequence” is not the default. It’s burned me several times, especially when I quickly post a viewing copy and later find it’s only a fragment of the cut. Ideally I’d love users to be able to set their own Source Range default in AME’s settings.
I’ve posted a feature request to Adobe and encourage you to do the same.

MVP_MSP_SonyRaw_64bit Sony Corporation 2.1050(I notice that the MSP_MXF Plug-In is listed twice in yours.)
Anyway, I’ll install the P2 and Sony Raw and see if that helps.
NOTE: I did find illegal characters at one level – Thank you William! – but am still unable to AMA or import.

Thanks for the thorough review. I have Speedgrade as part of the Creative Cloud and for me it looks like it may be OK for a newbie to rigorous color correction. I assume the general lessons learned would be applicable even if I were to switch to Resolve at some point in the future.
Thanks!

I should have mentioned here, as I did in the Adobe thread Todd referred to, that Cycore’s support was great and emailed me a prior version of the plugin that works perfectly. Others with the same issue should do the same for the time being. Thanks again Todd.

Well, the plugin is built into AE, not a separate purchase. Part of the “sell” on the Creative Cloud was not having to wait for new releases and improvements, of which I considered this bug fix to be. Sorry you found it baffling.
