There is a command called “commit multicam” that is available if you right click the sequence (I think, not in front of the system). This removes all groups from the timeline leaving only the active camera as though you edited single camera. Use that sequence to relink. Media Composer does not allow relinking back through grouped clips which could be the source of the problem for some of the clips.
Have you tried in the relink dialog box at the bottom to relink to highest or specific resolution?

Also relinking through group clips usually does not work. You will want to commit your multicam edits and try relinking again. As a test, you can do this on a copy of the sequence.

Few points for clarity:
1. While you can sync 1 take at a time with waveforms, you will be getting a group clip, not a .sync clip. Each take is multiple steps to get to a .sync clip as I blogged here: https://24p.com/wordpress/?p=280
It will be a slow and frustrating experience.2. You don’t need to AMA link to RED masters to create an AAF for a conform elsewhere. Just export an AAF from your proxy offline and the relink/conform occurs elsewhere.
And something to consider – the RED AMA plug-in has been updated to support the MXF proxy so you may just want to link to the MXF and consolidate giving you a bit more control as to which bins you want to manage the media.

The option to do so was added later so earlier versions of Target Mask did not have the capability.

SubCap is a open captioning tool creating subtitles. For close captioning, follow this from the internal help guide in MC:
Importing Scenarist Closed Caption Files
The editing application supports importing Scenarist Closed Caption (.scc) files. SCC files provide a textual representation of the Line 21 closed caption format, and can be used to generate closed captions.
To import .scc files:1. Select File > Input > Source Browser.
2. Select the Import button.
3. Navigate to the location of the .scc file and either drag and drop the file to the bin or select the Target Bin at the bottom right of the Source Browser window and click Import. The AncData Import dialog box opens. The starting timecode and drop frame checkbox will be automatically populated with the applicable information from the selected .scc file.
4. Click OK to accept these values so the clip and associated meta-data will match the contents of the SCC file. The .scc file appears in your target bin. It can be added to the Timeline just like any other clip. However it is a D-track only clip that contains only the 608 compatibility bytes from EIA-708.

What’s your final delivery? Broadcast, or streaming? What frame rate? Interlace or progressive? Once that’s defined, it’s easier to work backward.

The console holds a lot of interesting stuff with most of it not supported, but some things are and enable some functionality for things that do not have a UI. But if you type “help’ in the console, you will see a long list of commands.

That’s what I was asking. In your scenario, link to the files and transcode to DNxHD 115 at a minimum.

How do you plan on finishing? From the camera originals or transcode to the highest quality DNx and use that as final video quality?
