This is not a problem, it is the Sony flavor of HDV or as you call it SP record mode. Sony has simplified HDV to 60i even if your camera can shoot progressive and 24 fps. Sony converts 24p to 60i and adds 3:2 pulldown to the file, this is because Sony wants every NTSC monitor to be able to see this prosumer HD codec. If you really think you need to remove the 3:2 pulldown many of the NLE’s can do so, however I would bet you can’t tell the difference of the 60i file as the 24p look is still there. I know you can capture with Final Cut as Pro Rez and it can remove the pulldown, I believe Sony Vegas can do the same.

Hopefully this is an isolated case and Sony replaces or repairs the camera.
I don’t believe a solid state camera should ever need servicing for this type of issue, but it would be good to know if you have presented this clip to your Sony representatives and let us know what steps they are taking to fix it.
I would like to know what you have been using to power this camera, (batteries/AC) and have you checked the condition of your batteries and could this issue possibly be related to the power supply being interrupted.
Also are you only using SxS cards? It seems the sensors failed to offload the data.

No the XDR and Nano can also to set to wrap the files as MXF to use in PPro. You choose before shooting for the desired work flow.

I have used the Century and it works great when you need to get a longer lens.

I use the Flash XDR and the Nano Flash recorders and they work excellent with Final Cut 6.02 and better. The recorders wrap the files in a .mov Quicktime file and they are ready to edit right off the CF card.

I believe the lowest possible price is set by Sony, to all their distributors at $8320.00 US Dollars. This is a USA warranty model.

Most of what you see was from the actual shoot. What is most pleasing to me is the Encore together with the Zeiss prime lenses recorded on the Nano Flash. Yes they did some color correction to enhance the look but that is always a process of production.
