Ok you will need to re-wrap the native files using XD Transfer, this can be a plug-in or stand alone program from Sony.

Once you have the files re-wrapped as .mov you can edit with FW 800 without issue.
You may want to export as Pro Rez and if so set the render to Pro Rez on the sequence setting, it will save time during the render.The Intensity card will only give you the professional style monitoring without acceleration like some cards claim.

Honestly I believe it is the contacts between the cards and the adapter and the camera. Fortunately for me my adapter is a very tight fit in the camera slot on my EX3. My EX1 slots seems to be much looser and much easier to pull out.
I would insert and eject the card in and out of the adapter 40-50 times and re-run the tests Craig described. I would try and isolate this issue to either 1 adapter or 1 card. It will most likely be an adapter as they are just a conduit between the card and the camera.

The red light is a Tally light and you can turn if off from the Others menu (at the bottom of the main sub menus) and you can turn on/off the front tally as well as the rear.
In this same Others menu is the Battery Alarm can be set as low as 5% remaining and I don’t believe it can be turned off.
I was using the Anton Bauer Gold Mount that plugs directly into the DC in port and I can tell you that when the Anton Bauer battery dies there is no warning, and for me I am use to this warning beep.

I believe you should hire a Gaffer and bring him/her into the studio for a tech scout to see what is possible and they can help you order the right lighting gear for the job.

No we backed everything up with SxS recording. We even used my EX1 as a second camera and yes they used some native EX files.“Were the overcranked shots recorded to the SxS cards?”
Nano over/under feature isn’t available yet but it is coming soon. The editor may have used the Nano files for the slow motion, I wasn’t involved with the edit.“I’m trying to find out if you can record over and undercranked footage through the sdi output.”

I would rather have 60 progressive frames per second than 30 frames interlaced.

I have hung out the side of a helicopter once shooting 1080 60i and if I had it to do over I would shoot 720 60p.
