I can’t imagine any IR issues with daylight, I take delivery of my F3 in a few days and while at NAB I was working at the Convergent-Design booth and playing with their F3 I was thumbing threw the menu I noticed an ND Adjustment. I asked the Sony boys and no one really knew what it was for, finally someone thought it was a way to adjust the iso. I just looked up the manual online and this feature wasn’t in print. So perhaps we can dial back the iso with this feature and not use as much ND glass out in front of the lens.
There might be IR issues using tungsten lighting indoors and having a filter ready would be great.

This lens is so forgiving on the EX camera I just zoom out to the longest focal length and focus on something at infinity, then pull back wide and adjust (if needed) from there.

I would first match the time base and HD formats before the edit.
Is all of the HDV the same flavor and or what flavors do you have?
The Sony HDV spec does have a 24p that records 29:97 with flags and you could remove the 3:2 pulldown to match up with the F-3 clips.If this is the case I would try using a Nano Flash to transcode and match the F-3 and it should see the pulldown and remove it, and your HDV deck will supply the proper 1920×1080 HD format and get you out from the 1440×1080 HDV spec. If you use the Sony HDV deck with SDI you may retain the HDV timecode.
I would try working with the HDV first and I would use a Nano Flash with the F-3

If the Red (Write) light was on you most likely damaged the card. I don’t think there is anyway to repair a damaged memory card.

If the Lock is On the camera can’t format the card, check and make sure the Lock is Off.
If you pulled the card while the camera was still writing to the card it will damage the card.
Slow down and do one thing at a time.Good Luck

Try moving the ND filters in and out, this filter may be causing the issue.

I thought the same about 16mm lenses. A good friend has some beautiful Zeiss super speed 16mm lenses with a PL mount and what I found was that the adapter was to close to the sensor. Perhaps you can make it work with your lens.

Every clip have an individual name/number. You can code the clips in camera, I use Acam- 0001 each time I shoot solo with my EX3. Your client would only need to tell you what clip they want to work with.

I prefer to shoot to my satisfaction and not for someone else in post. I have some picture profiles that I have fine tuned to my liking and if I’m given the responsibility as DP I will record a look that is my signiture to the project.

Have you tried a neon dimmer? If you look hard I’m sure you’ll find one
