  • I am not a big dell fan but that does sound like a good deal.

  • I use a sony vaio at home for these types of projects as well as the marching band videos I prepare for the local high school. Have not had any issues and it works well. I think its a 3.0 ghz, 1gb ram, 2 160gb harddrives). I think it was about $1300 before adding the extra hard drive.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello Edward,

Do you turn that off in preferences? I have always found the automatic start a little bit annoying but not enough to dig through preferences to find it.

Is there a similar off switch in DVD Architect?

    Thanks for the information.

It actually did not turn out that bad. The music was drum beat and bass. Started out fast but the slowed down version with a lower base was alright. Had it been any more than I stretched it I would have done it differently.

I stretched music the other night on a project I was working on. Only about a 2 second stretch. Quite noticable.

I do a lot of 2 – 4 camera work. Excalibur is great for this. The Ultimate S product is also good but I believe is limited to 2 cameras.

Either is definately worth the money given the time savings and quality of final output.

    Just my opinion.

I would go with Vegas 6.0 just because its the newest version. Being introduced and learning the software on the most recent version reduces challenges when upgrading.

What were the results of letting Vegas reformat them. I have great luck just letting Vegas do its thing. I believe there are also options in the preferences to turn off the resize which should eliminate any reformatting or resizing.

I agree with Ed and Gary. Excaliber is great for this, easy to use and generatesimpressive looking results. I have not tried Version 4 yet but will after I finish my current project – a three – four hour concert with three cameras the project that will never end.

Ultimate S also has this capability but I believe Excaliber allows more cameras and was easier for me to use having used versions 1, 2 and 3.
