April 14, 2005 at 5:11 pmIf you are asking if you can feed multiple cameras simultaneoulsy into Vegas and capture as you switch between them, then yes IF you have an external switcher with firewire output (or have a way to transcode analog to digital).
Vegas is very good at multi-camera editing, however, where you capture each camera’s footage and edit as a post-production process. There are several approaches, but none as sophisticated (or fun)as using our Excalibur plugin (click below my name for details).

April 14, 2005 at 6:01 pmI agree with Ed and Gary. Excaliber is great for this, easy to use and generatesimpressive looking results. I have not tried Version 4 yet but will after I finish my current project – a three – four hour concert with three cameras the project that will never end.
Ultimate S also has this capability but I believe Excaliber allows more cameras and was easier for me to use having used versions 1, 2 and 3.

April 16, 2005 at 9:07 pmHi Mike,
I’ve noticed that your a neighbor. I didn’t realize there were Vegas users that live so close. I’m going to NAB and check out the new features of Vegas. Then, I’ll upgrade to the new version of Excalibur, Neon & Tsunami when I get back. Hope to win big on the tables.
