Is this normal?
Most times when I open Vegas 5.0d I get the last worked on project displayed & everything appears to be the same as when I logged off exect that the preview window has gone. Most times I have to go & open it again. Why should this be?
Another thing is that I also freqently get the message that the program had been incorrectly been shut down. I always select the restored version on offer & compare it to the last version that I saved & never once have I ever been able to see any difference between the two. Is his normal?

I have not noticed either of those happening. I have also turned OFF the “automatically open project” option so it never opens a project upon start unless I have managed to crash Vegas (or, more likely, the power went off).

Do you turn that off in preferences? I have always found the automatic start a little bit annoying but not enough to dig through preferences to find it.
Is there a similar off switch in DVD Architect?

Yes, I have that option turned off in the preferences in both Vegas and DVDA.
