I am afraid, that I do not want to make such a work-around. It will not fix anything, even if it succeeded. I have a monster of a computer here and it should, indeed, be able to run everything smooth and properly.

I need to find a solution.

How do I optimize Vegas to use all of the computer power? I am nearly convinced, that the problem is Vegas not using it, hence the “loss of memory available”.

It could be due to the codec used to compress the files in the first place. Apple likes apple. Therefore they made a codec called AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec), which you simply cannot do shit about, unless you own a Mac.

If the .mov files are compressed in the format, you need a mac to reconvert them into something useable (fx in iMovie).

That is the work around I did. Its painful and Apple sucks.

Hmm, that is weird. It works some times?

Well, I actually think it is something about the RAM…

I worked my way through the project and when I want to render, it says: “System out of memory…”

Now, that is funny, since the system has 16GB of RAM and Windows says usage is less than 15 %.

There must me some setting wrong, some where.

Ill try to run a benchmark; then I will know if it is only Vegas that doesn’t wanna play with the RAM or if it is other programs aswell.
