    Thank you. Boris was installed for Avid. Came with the Avid software.

    I need to stay current on both software set, hence both on the same system. Unless I opt for 2 comuters.

    So I guess we’re both online now…

    I ask you for a recommendation. I shot 65hrs. of tape (documentary) on a Panasonic DVX100 in NDF. I now want digitize using a cheapo digital camera.

    It’s unimportant to me whether the final project ends up in NDF or DF – I just want to avoid TC issues when I online (which is obviously necessary with all the footage I have). Any suggestions? I’m using Avid Xpress Pro or Final Cut 5 – I haven’t yet decided as I own both.

    Or do I need to rent a deck for initial digitize and in several months when I online?

    Thank you Gustavo. You have helped. It just sounds odd to me that consumer cameras would shoot and play back in DF and not NDF. It seems that drop frame is more complicated. Thank you though.
