Yep, nesting is a good idea. I settled on working in Premiere Pro, and the speed features are great. Thanks for the responses.

this is a good solution, almost!

so i have a bunch of markers on a video clip that i’d like to razor blade at once. it sounds like that feature isn’t implemented, and this is a good substitute. however, because the markers are on the video and not the timeline, whenever i ctrl-v to make a cut, the clip that was just cut becomes selected, the remaining video with markers is de-selected, and shift-m does jump to the next marker.

know any way around this? maybe there’s a way to transform video markers to timeline markers?

I tried uninstalled Symantec Antivirus 2007 and Ad-aware 07 (both of which were monitoring the computer and I couldn’t just disable that with an option in the program), but there was no luck.

Thanks for the prompt response. I used Registry Mechanic to fix the registry, then reinstalled but I’m getting the same problems. I also tried unchecking the option to open Vegas with Media Manager (in preferences), but that did nothing.
