UPDATE: I went back to the DSR-1500 from the PD-150 and was able to bring tapes in ONLY in QT. The recording does stop on a bad or dropped frame, but maybe once or twice per tape. Not a big deal. FCP and iMovie both still chop it up. Premiere doesn’t see the deck.

Premiere (Doesn’t see the decks), iMovie, QuickTime and Life Flix. It’s not the software.

The signal pat is it goes from the deck through the FW cable with an adapter to Thunderbolt. My iMac has HDs connected to it, the two laptops had none.

The format is DV/DVCPRO – NTSC. And the files are not usable. Where you see it drop out those sections are missing. And there are no black frames. The video plays fine. Just not to the computer.

I didn’t see the other questions. The format is Mini DV and it’s capturing at 480.

What do you mean conform to a proxy?

It’s the same when captured. It breaks up into pieces with gaps. On the deck/camera it is playing smoothly.

    Yes DVDs.

Store-bought films on DVD can be in Dolby 5.1. So why cant I export that from AP/AME?

But for instance, when I play a store bought DVD (in the past) it would be 5.1.

I have and they said it is a know issue when the plugin is cranked up. I had to switch to the other denoising plugin Neat Video. I think it does a better job, but is way slower.

There is only the option for “Position, Scale and Rotation”, not only position and scale. I tried it and it causes other oddities.
