Can the P2 card be skipped altogether, so that you just record to a firestore or the like (whatever portable hard drive technology develops)? Or, do you have to use the P2 card and dump to the hard drive? Is the P2 absolutly necessary?

Do I trash the folder or just the contents of the folder? Sorry for the basic question. I have not done this in a while.

I need specific instructions. You did not give any. I know I need to trash my prefs. Exactly where are they located? Step 1,2,3 ect.

So will I import using firewire or some kind of P2 reader? What about monitoring playback. I will not need a card for that?

I could encode the thumbnail in Bitvice. The only reason that I have not is because everyone I understood the DVDSP would recompress the menu video and I know that I did not want to compress it twice. Is this not the case?

I encode my main video programs (but not thumbnail menu video clips) with bitvice. I let the DVDSP encoder encode thumbnails. However, all my video clips play perfectly, all the time. It is the menu itself that gives me pixelization problems. All video plays perfectly. The text or just the menu (a solid color) will pixilize often.

Menu compression? I see encoder settings for my video (which I really do not use because I run all my video through Bitvice). Where do I find Menu compression?
