Boris Red and FCP 4.5
How do I use Boris trasistions in FCP. Lets say I am transitioning (with a boris effect) from video track 1 to video track 2. I can preview the video in track 1 but in track two I just see a colored slate with the number 2 on it. I can preview the effect. When I render there is a hard cut and no effect. What am I doing wrong?

When you apply red in FCP there are “wells” you will see in your viewer window underneath the red banner. Just drag and drop the clips you want to use in those wells and they are accessible in red.
This example is for the red generator but it works the same:
