Thanks for your answer John. Yes, I tried mpeg streamclip and it doesn’t work. I finally asked for uncompressed footage that works with QT. But I’d like to know if there’s a way to make HDYC footage compatible with QT.

I’ll take a look at FCP2AE. Just to make sure, when you say don’t worry about it, do you mean don’t worry about rendering first to animation (and then exporting with dvcpro hd codec in QT) or, don’t worry, just render out of AE directly in dvcpro hd.

very helpful.It’d be better if I didn’t have to select the layer first, as in FCP where it moves the cursor to the next edit point, no matter if a layer is selected.
