Word coming out of mouth
Hi,
At work, I’ve been ask to animate the word “Boom!” coming out of the mouth of someone, in profil, saying… boom!
I’d like the animation to have some relation to the meaning of the word, like an explosion. Do you know any tutorials that would relate to this. If not, do you have any suggestion on how to do it?
I’m new at job and I’d like to do something good. Thanks in advance!

Hi Maxime,
I don’t have a tutorial for you, but have a play around with the ‘distort’ filters in AE and you should be able to work something out. You could animate the ‘spherize’ filter to make the word bulge, for example. Or make a solid layer and use the mask tool to make a shape and animate the scale for a more classical, comic book styled ‘boom’.
