    Fred,

First of all, you are WAY out of line! You are totally vague about what you want and you expect us to read your mind – and then you get snotty when we can’t.

Second, these may be the kind of plugs you’re looking for:

Thank you all for contributing – it’s been very enlightening.

I think you have answered my questions.

One last query, though, for my edification:
Regarding the terranex – can anyone tell me — how do DV/SD clips that are upressed to DVCPRO HD look?

    Thank you,

    Gents,

Thank you for your valuable input.

Can you please clear up a couple more things:

    1. I’ll be doing a lot of color grading [Magic Bullet], transitions, picture-in-picture stuff. I heard that DVCPRO HD doesn’t handle the renders well – ie, it loses a lot of quality after being rendered. Any truth to that?

    2. Can I edit DVCPro HD with a regular FW800 drive, or do I need a RAID and other fancy stuff.

Thanks for helping me with this – I’ve been seeing a lot of conflicting/confusing reports on these issues.

    Thanks,

I use my iTunes to convert mp3’s and CD’s to 48K .AIFF – so its a bit of a shlep to have to go into the advanced settings and change the import settings to mp3.
So I was looking at an alternative program to avoid having to change my itunes settings.

    Hi,
yes, I know all about the sticky-label problems. I should have been more specific. I have the Canon iP5200 ink jet works like a charm.
The disks it came with, though, with the cool templates, etc – are only for PC.
There is a basic template program that shipped with it for Mac – which is why I’m looking at 3rd party options.

Bear in mind, if you have slom-mos and time remaps on your timeline, there is a chance that your clips won’t reconnect properly.

One of the unfortunate bugs in FCP.
