Once it’s all captured is it possible to bring it up to full raster in compressor? or will this degrade the picture?

    Hi Walter,

    Thanks for the response.

Can you not capture prores 422 via the firewire out on a deck?

Thanks for the info, I am planning on shooting footage with the camera. I saw philip bloom use the Nikon mount Zeiss ZF 50mm f1.4 on sofia’s people, obviously his a very talented gent, and I’m a cack handed novice but would his lense be any good?

    Thanks again

    Hey Juris,

thanks for response, Soho editors have stopped their avid courses infact quite alot of places don’t do avid anymore even though I’d still say 50% of editing jobs still ask for knowledge of it.

    Hi Eric,

Does that mean we won’t be able to use the Prores 4444 codec with the black magic?

    Thanks Steve, appreciate the link,

however doesn’t answer why I can’t export .flv files from FCP. When I go to export either by quicktime, compressor or quicktime conversions I’m not give the option. I have Adobe production premium installed on the machine so thought I’d be able to, perhaps misguided?

Does it matter setting the Pluge bars with blue only after i’ve set the chroma and hue? or should i do the brightness and contrast first then the chroma?

I’m possible making this way more tricky than it is?

    Cheers, Matt

    cheers Josh,

any idea how I get CS4 to recognise I have a blackmagic card as the only codec options it’s giving me at the moment are 10-bit RGB Blackmagic which is a bit intense for my needs

    Cheers, Matt

    Cheers Leo,

It seems in the premiere pro capture settings I don’t have any Blackmagic codec options beside 4:4:4 10bit, which is abit heavy, any one know how I can get the codecs into Premiere?

    Thanks again, Matt
